About Me

I am a Kukkiwon Certified 2nd Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo. I've been teaching classes on Violence Prevention and Self Defense in seminars, workshops, classrooms and conferences for over 10 years. My goal is to teach you how to tap into the power within you and recognize that you make choices every day that can affect your safety.

What would your daughter do if her date began driving her out to a secluded place?

What would you do if you were walking to your car one night and a man came out from behind it and said, "I'm going to kill you."

What would your sister do if someone at work began making crude remarks and gestures toward her?

Would your son's car doors be locked if an assailant suddenly appeared and tried to jump into his car while he was waiting at a traffic light?

Too many of us have received either no message or mixed messages on how to handle ourselves in an uncomfortable or dangerous situation.  Too many people think that self-defense consists of 'moves' that we learn in a class and will hopefully never have to use.

I want to change that - Self-Defense is a LIFEstyle - an awareness of the world and the people around us and how to interact in that world as safely as possible.  We make choices every day that affect our safety.  My goal is to teach you how to create habits that will deter a predator as well as how to act (not react) if you find yourself in a dangerous situation.

Through my classes and presentations you will learn to know and feel your worth and the power that you have inside to not only avoid danger, but to resist an assault if necessary.
